Why blog? (Three years and counting)

I started this blog as a trial to see if I would enjoy doing it, and I have. Decembers are so hectic for me, though, so I've decided to de-blog for this one month. I'll continue to read and respond to comments on other forums in December as I have time, just no time consuming blogging.
In the meantime, I'm looking forward to putting the finishing touches on my adult choir's Christmas cantata and also getting the kids at church ready for their Christmas program. In addition to the normal church hustle and family events during the month, my local amateur quartet is using this month to prep for a couple of "big" (for us) performances. We'll be with the Mystery Men Quartet and Rick Strickland on New Year's Eve and then open for Triumphant Quartet (formerly Integrity) on Jan. 6.
