Guess The Group Contest

STEP 1: Click HERE to Listen between March 24 and April 6, 2008.

STEP 2: Click HERE to Guess The Group via email. Include your name, email address and phone number along with your guess! (Incomplete entries will be disqualified.) ONE ENTRY PER PERSON!

HINTS – This version of “When God Ran” is a soon-to-be-released single by a current well-known/established Southern Gospel group. “When God Ran” has been recorded in the past by artists including Benny Hester and Mercy’s Well, but neither of these would be a correct answer in this contest. To win, you must correctly identify the group performing this specific version.

25 GRAND PRIZES! – Up to 25 WINNERS will receive a FREE DOWNLOAD of a complete brand new album by this group, including the song “When God Ran.” You must guess correctly to win the full album download. If more than 25 entrants have a correct answer, a random drawing will determine which 25 entries receive a grand prize.

EVERYONE’S A WINNER! – ALL entrants will receive a FREE DOWNLOAD of “When God Ran.”

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS – Midnight (Eastern Daylight Time), Sunday, April 6, 2008. (We are not responsible for emails that fail to arrive in time or lost/mis-directed emails, regardless of when you sent it.)

ELIGIBILITY – Individuals employed by the group and their associated business partners (record label, promoters, booking agencies, etc.) are NOT eligible to participate in this contest. Also, family members of individuals employed by the group, their associated business partners and David Bruce Murray (Musicscribe.com) are NOT eligible to participate in this contest.

UPDATE #1 (March 26, 1:58 PM EDT) – There have been 17 entries so far. The number of correct entries has been approximately 75%! If you haven’t entered yet, you still have over a week to submit your guess. If entries continue to come in at this rate, it looks like the 25 album download winners will have to be determined by a drawing from the correct entries which is GREAT! Keep those guesses coming!

UPDATE #2 (March 27, 3:24 PM EDT) – As of this moment, we have 22 entries. Tell all of your fellow Southern Gospel fans to enter!

When I first heard this version of “When God Ran,” I thought it was a certain group, but I was wrong. (My second guess was correct.) I’m taking some ironic pleasure in noting that several of you are agreeing with my first, wrong response. :o)

UPDATE #3 (April 6, 12:09 PM EDT) – The contest is over. Thanks for entering!
