Worship ServicesWorship services at Corinth are focused on honoring God as a body of believers. There are services each Sunday at 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM. A typical service includes congregational hymn singing, receipt of tithes and offerings, intercessory prayers, anthems by the Adult Choir, special solo music, and a message from the pastor.Sunday SchoolSunday School classes cover basic biblical principles, meeting each Sunday at 10:00 AM. Corinth offers complete age based classes from Nursery through Youth, as well as several non-age based classes for adults.Discipleship TrainingDiscipleship Training classes focus on the deeper aspects of being a follower of Christ. There are classes available for all ages. Discipleship Training classes meet at 6:00 PM on Sunday evenings.Bible StudyBible study involves the detailed dissection of particular passages of scripture. Bible Study groups meet twice each month at 7:00 PM on 2nd and 4th Wednesdays. Separate classes include Preschool, Children, Youth, and Adults.Missions OrganizationsWomen's Missionary Union is divided into several categories for women and preschool children. These include Women On Mission (two levels), Acteens, GAs (Girls in Action), and Mission Friends.Brotherhood is a men's mission fellowship. Men study and pray for Baptist missionaries, as well as undertaking local and regional missions projects. The Brotherhood organization oversees the Royal Ambassadors (RAs), an organization for boys in 1st through 12th grades. Boys have the opportunity to do mission projects, study about missions, fellowship with their friends on camping trips, etc. All mission groups are scheduled to meet on 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 7:00 PM. Mission projects of various types may also be scheduled at other times. Corinth Baptist Church takes a hands on approach to missions; rebuilding homes in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and making evangelistic mission trips to Brazil as well as locally in our own community. OutreachIn addition to mission projects, Corinth contributes financially to affiliated organizations such as the Southern Baptist Convention and the Sandy Run Baptist Association, as well as to non-affiliated organizations such as Yokefellow. There are several individuals in our church who are involved in volunteer work with the Red Cross, hospitals, and other organizations.Special EventsEach year, various individuals and organizations within Corinth Baptist Church participate in special events. Some of these include: an annual summer Youth trip; GA and Acteen summer camps; regional concert/speaking events like Jubilate and 1996's Billy Graham Crusade; events involving church members like college recitals, etc.

MusicAdult ChoirAdult Choir presents anthems for Sunday morning worship services. They present full length cantatas each year at Christmas and Easter. The choir rehearses at 5:00 PM on Sunday afternoons.Youth ChoirYouth Choir sings for church services. Rehearsals are held at 5:45 PM on Wednesday evenings during the school year.Children's ChoirChildren's Choir involves Grades 1 through 6. The choir meets from August through May with special concerts in December and May. Rehearsals for Children's Choir are at 6:30 PM on Wednesdays.Preschool ChoirPreschool Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM. They perform at Christmas and other times throughout the year.Summer EventsVacation Bible School (VBS)Vacation Bible School is a week long event. Bible lessons, worship, craft activities, and fellowship are made available for all ages.Kids' Super SummerKid's Super Summer is a weekly program for children in grades 1 through 6. Events vary each week and may include trips to regional points of interest, sports activities, watching Christian children's videos, Bible lessons or special guest speakers.Fellowship/Recreation![]() Each 5th Wednesday night is set aside for a church-wide fellowship meal and program. Special guests in the past have included pianist Bob Stevens and the clown team of Marji and Roma. Corinth men and ladies are active in the Sandy Run softball leagues during the summer months. Other regular fellowship activities include an annual fish fry sponsored by the Brotherhood and "going out to eat with the youth" on most Sunday nights after church. Upward SportsUpward Sports is coordinated with other area churches. Teams learn how to compete while maintaining Christian values such as sportsmanship. |
