Amy Roth-Cowart fronts this vocal trio, joined by Wayne Bartlett and Dewayne Porter . Great Things has twelve tracks, including two written by Bartlett. Porter and Bartlett are featured on vocals some as the recording progresses, but the first half is mostly a showcase for Roth-Cowart's vocal abilities. Roth-Cowart's voice has many of the same qualities you can hear in Karen Peck . . . her diction, expression, and breath control are much the same. By the way, Peck's former New River band leader Joel Key provides the acoustic and electric guitar work for Great Things , so it's safe to say KP&NR fans would enjoy Pure Harmony.

Great Things ranges from energetic guitar and piano driven tunes like "Great Things," "Keep On Keeping On" and "River Of Love" to reflective inspirational numbers like "I Carry The Cross," "In Me" "He's The One," and "A Million Broken Pieces." The slower tunes depend more on vocal expression and lyrical content selling the song to the listener. The first Bartlett penned number has a borderline novelty lyric called "Top Ten Priorities" with harmonica coloring the delivery. His other tune, "The First Day Of Heaven," is in a similar vein with a banjo thrown in for good measure.
