Everytime I Hear The Spirit
The Dove Brothers

Label: Homeland
Producers: Milton Smith, Wesley Pritchard, and McCray Dove

The Dove Brothers burst onto the scene about three years ago and garnered quick success with crowd favorites like "Get Away Jordan" and more recently with "Didn't It Rain." Everytime I Feel The Spirit continues in the same vein, featuring generally upbeat tunes that have crowd appeal potential. This time, McCray Dove contributes four of his original songs to the mix including "Everywhere You Go," "Gonna Rise," "Nearer To Jesus," and "One Day I Will." Tenor John Rulapaugh takes the lead line on the title cut. He gets a little better with each recording. McCray is featured on "I'm Gonna Pray," a Dianne Wilkinson tune. Bass Burman Porter steps up for "He's Already Done (What He Said He Would Do). "More Of Me" and "Nearer To Jesus" are slower numbers that show the Doves aren't just about one style.

One big plus to this recording is that you get your money's worth in terms of album length. Although several songs are quick and short, the Dove Brothers put a total of twelve cuts on Everytime I Feel The Spirit. If you've enjoyed them in the past, you'll certainly continue to enjoy them now.
