The Mother Of All Tribute Albums is a trip through Christian rock history. Two U2 songs are covered, as well as tunes by other secular groups like King's X, The Beatles and The Police. Christian artists as diverse as The Imperials, Keith Green, and Veggie Tales are also paid tribute. Larry Norman returns the favor to DC Talk with his version of "Jesus Freak." Guardian provides a prelude to their Stryper tribute album with "C'mon Rock." In general, the new versions on The Mother Of All Tribute Albums don't measure up to the originals, but it's fun just the same. The extensive liner notes provide insights into the interpretations, and some humorous comments about Saddam Hussein.
