Like pop? A Cross Between has a great deal going for them. Imagine dc talk circa Free At Last merged with Phillips, Craig, and Dean and you'll get the idea. The production quality of this self titled project is superb; every tune is an interesting sonic pallette. Furthermore, these three guys know how to harmonize, so there's usually a nice vocal blend happening. Lyrically, various topics ranging from the ever saddening subject of school shootings in "Nicole Hadley's Heart" to the bliss of the classic "I Just Want To Celebrate" are covered. A remix of the latter appears again as a hidden track after "The Holy One." Expect A Cross Between to find their core audience among younger pop listeners who also enjoy artists like Rebecca St. James, but don't be surprised if 4 Him, Point Of Grace, and Avalon fans are also seen browsing in their vicinity of the music store.
